Grant overview

With Strong Foundations Implementation, you receive direct grant funds for technical assistance to support the high-fidelity implementation of Texas open educational resources (OER) instructional materials. This includes high-quality professional learning designed for you and your team—teachers, instructional coaches, school leaders, campus administrators, and district leaders—to effectively implement OER.

If you are a Title I and Federally Identified campus, including CSI, TSI, and ATS, participating in Strong Foundations Implementation (SFI), you may be eligible for Strong Foundations Implementation: School Improvement PLC Supports. Through this program, you receive direct grant funds for technical assistance with professional learning communities (PLCs), ensuring high-fidelity implementation of Texas open educational resources (OER) instructional materials. 

Services

Instruction Partners helps teams take a strategic approach to selecting and implementing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). Our Texas team of dedicated math and ELA content experts work with you and your team to plan your process, develop an evaluation rubric, and review and select materials.

Our partnership services around HQIM implementation include helping instructional teams:

  • Set a clear vision for excellent instruction with your selected team of school and district leaders, coaches, teachers, interventionists, and more
  • Complete a curriculum study and articulate clear expectations for curriculum use to facilitate the implementation of Texas OER instructional materials
  • Create district-level instructional material transition plans and campus-level implementation action plans
  • Deliver high-quality professional learning (HQPL)
  • Establish an observation and coaching tool and determine support for collaborative and individual planning, including unit and lesson internalization, lesson preparation, student work analysis, observation and feedback, and progress monitoring
