[Recorded Webinar] An Introduction to the Curriculum Support Guide

Translating Great Materials into Great Instruction

If you’re involved in the selection, launch, or support of instructional materials for your school or school system, this webinar is for you!

High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) are a powerful tool for supporting teachers and improving student learning, but—without the right support—materials can cause more confusion than improvement.

Four years ago, Instruction Partners set out to understand common challenges schools faced when implementing HQIM—as well as common leadership actions associated with translating HQIM into better student outcomes. We synthesized what we learned into the Curriculum Support Guide, a free tool that provides leaders with a step-by-step path through curriculum selection, implementation, and ongoing support.

Emily Freitag, chief executive officer, and Aisley Adams, director of instructional support, led a live walkthrough of the guide to help leaders think through what it takes to use and support high-quality materials well—including a clearly defined vision for team roles, expectations, and training.

Watch the free webinar to:

  • deepen your understanding of the research and rationale behind effective curriculum implementation,
  • identify the common pitfalls of implementation and learn strategies to avoid them, and
  • learn about key resources your team can use to strengthen instruction at every stage of your curriculum journey.
